Awakening 2010 02/23/2010
 
Without a doubt there is an Awakening in this Region and a harvest of lost souls are are being won into the Kingdom of God.  Spiritual rain is falling on so many churches in this region which is in response to God's children praying, fasting & seeking His Presence not just His Provision. 
At The Bridge it probably been the greatest move of the Holy Spirit among our Driven Youth Ministry in the 181/2 years we've been here as Lead Pastor.  Could this be a end time harvest, an end time revival before the arrival of our Master. 
This I do know let's Maximize the Moment by gathering the harvest while there is time. 
My prayer is God Let this Awakening Spread & let 1000's of lost souls be saved!

Miracles are happening around the body of Christ and I think it is happening because of many factors but let me share a couple of them with you:
1.  Prayer & Fasting  It's a known fact that when the people of God mix prayer and fasting that God shows up demonstrating His power. Throughout the Bible prayer and fasting always opened the heavens bringing victory against incredible odds, bringing salvation instead of judgement and even allowing the Gentile nation to come to Christ.
2.  Last Days   I've been saying for over 20 years that God saves His best for last and I believe we are in a last day outpouring of God's power.
Over the past few weeks we have seen some incredible miracles but never get your eyes on the miracles but rather stay focused and passionate about the miracle worker.  I like the verse that declares:  Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord.  There is a fresh move of God's Spirit in this region, dive in.
Continue to expect the supernatural in your life, expect your household to be saved, expect your needs to be met supernaturally, expect God to use you in an incredible way TODAY!

Thought for today:

What we are determined about must be greater than what we are disgusted over.

Perseverance is a word that comes to mind when I think about 2010.  The Bible reminds us that those who endure to the end shall be saved so perseverance is a must. 

There will be many times in 2010 that you will become disgusted and the flesh will want to quit but there is nothing to go back to. What is ahead of you is so much greater than what you are going through.  Joseph didn’t give up in the pit or the prison and because of his perserance he got his Promised Palace Position.

This year make it a daily goal to persevere in prayer, in fasting, digesting the Word of God, & Reaching ONE More.  Also persevere when the enemy declares all out war against us knowing that the Greater One lives inside of us & who can be against us since He is for us.

Your greatest days are ahead of you so be encouraged, you win in 2010!

This morning part of my devotion time was in: Matt 5:23 If you enter your place of worship and, about to make an offering, you suddenly remember a grudge a friend has against you,24abandon your offering, leave immediately, go to this friend and make things right. Then come back and work things out with God.  From my One Year Message Bible.

Words straight from the mouth of our Lord Jesus!  This word is not to be ignored & unapplied but rather words that are alive and still applicable in this 21st Century.  They are words spoken for our benefit so we would not live in self-made prisons of unforgiveness where the blessings of God are hindered in our lives.

Unforgiveness destroys lives, blocks blessing, delays or destroys God’s promises to us, & hinders the anointing because it is disobedience to God’s word.  Disobedience brings a curse while obedience releases blessings.

Today, obey and apply this word to your life and watch God unleash His promises in your life.

Can you believe it, another New Year, another New Decade and another NEW Beginning?  In the natural one thing is for certain, it’s a year of uncertainty.  It’s hard to imagine what this year holds for our nation, our state, our region, our church, our family or even personally. BUT one thing is for certain, God is still on the throne and whatever we face He will be with us.

Isaiah 43:1 Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.  3For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:

One of the main keys to victory in 2010 is simply keeping focus.  Focus on who called us, focus on who equipped us, focus on what God has promised us and as we keep focus God will keep His Word.

Friends you can trust God's Word because it has been proven and in 2010 it will be proven over and over again by those who believe it and obey it.
